That is Ford's Highland Park plant in Detroit which was the largest auto assembly plant in the world until Ford's River Rouge plant overtook it.  Designed by the architect Albert Kahn in close collaboration with Henry Ford, it was a real step forward in factory design and was the place where the moving auto assembly line and the Five Dollar Day were born.  Much of the facility still exists, and Ford has in the past used it for storage.
