"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.

Post your non-O scale stuff here!

I’m usually on the tinplate for but I have a HO question.
Picked up a HO train set for $5.00 at a garage sale.

The Loco is a Tyco # 638 Chattanooga loco (0-8-0) with the mo
tor and drive in the tender. (Engine tender have bad reviews).

With a little lubrication the motor works fine.
The Traction tires were cracked and fell off, so the loco will not go.Do not know if the smoke unit works as I want to get it on the track first.

Went on line and found that Calumet sells them (# 515) and I can get a package of 20 for about $8.00
The question is that I see that dental rubber bands look the same (color and all) and I can pick up a pack of 1500 pieces all sizes for $8.92 (site states make a offer).
Has anyone ever used these before?
Just wondering if the ones you see advertised for trains are the same just repackaged for a high profit.

Picture of the dental rubber bands.
