Wow. First visit to York was incredible. My wife Shannon and our youngest Vanny loved it also...a bit to my surprise. It was busy but manageable to get around. TCA staff, security and booth staff were more than helpful and courteous. Caught the OGR forum meeting, very nice. Met a few forumites.
Came back with a bit of everything. K-line, Tinplate, ferris wheel, Mega-Steam, Miller's signs, tools, toggle switches, Timken Caboose, Thomas Tank remote set, post war cars, HO set my daughter was after, grease, seated figures, Williams passenger cars. Point is EVERYTHING under the sun was there.
I've been home a few hours and I'm still playing. I couldn't believe all the food vendors, even had a crab cake sandwich and a pumpkin funnel cake. My work schedule only allowed one day to spend there, I could have spent another day easily. Super deals for sure. I asked everywhere but could not find a Vision Line Ethenol Tank Car set. Other then that everything on my list was readily available. Also picked up the new OGR Blue Ray. It's only a two hour drive for me so I'm very fortunate.
What an incredible hobby and a wonderfully diverse group of friendly and sharing enthusiasts. I'll be grinning for a week.
