Hi All,
I always liked these heavyweight style palace cars. Arch windows with stained glass. These would make a really nice looking train. Think anyone will manufacture this style?

Great idea!
Typically the challenge with these earlier prototypes was the sheer number of manufacturers who made cars and the relatively low numbers they were sold in to get enough for a manufacturer to do a viable run.
Having said that, being a steel car it doesn't look too far off from the GGD 80' heavyweight coaches in terms of basic design. Cut in openings for the vestibule end windows and the upper clerestory windows and you have a fairly close match. It appears that the stained glass is continuous and attached to a slight recess to the structural mullion between the paired windows. Could be a fun little project.
Do you have a history of this car? Being all steel it is technically past the "Palace" era of Pullman cars, but it could have been rebuilt from an wood car.
Some wooden passenger cars were just sheathed with steel....
I asked Scott. There are some Sunset Limited cars I would love to have. Alas, Scott's answer was the same as Jonathan's.
A generic 4 car set might sell - for me it would have to be wood side. Combine, coach, diner, observation. MTH did it with the open platform cars, and they are stunning! And look great on a 2-rail pike.

Some hole drilling, filing, little bit of body puddy, painting and the car is completed. Well, Pennsy Limited might sell, given how we foamers will buy anything PRR. Then, a proper D16 in brass to go with it.
OTOH, LaBelle sells kits for some of the Pennsylvania Limited cars and will, at my last asking, do the rest of the cars as special runs.
