How can a 1 3/8" Fastrack straight with an isolated center track (6-12073) installed suddenly lose its isolation and regain continuity?

John, I hope you're right...  except the "who knows" part.

Well, I solved the mystery. I had actually connected a power drop for my outside loop to the bus-line for my inner loop. Both bus-lines were the same type wire: clear speaker wire.  Dumb. I thought I had clearly color coded each. Apparently not good enough. The bright side is this SNAFU is prompting me to clean up a wiring rat’s nest under the layout.

Not so dumb... happens all the time with clear wire... GOOD LUCK Ed, with the rats nest'........... Can be a real headache..
