I got brand new computer tonight.  I decided NOT to pollute it with anything from the old computer.  I connected to my network, connected to my printer and opened MS Edge.  I set DuckDuckGo as my search engine and then opened my web email.

I opened a new tab and typed in OGR Forum.  1st hit.  I opened OGR and clicked on the SignIn.  I moved my cursor to the email address block and clicked once.  A pull down opened and my email address was defaulted.

How does that happen if this is brand new and I've never been on the browser or website before?

Many web browsers including Edge have a user configurable auto-fill feature that remembers information you type into web forms, like your email address, mailing address, phone number, etc.

Did you have to type your email address to log into your webmail account?  If so, it probably remembered that and used it as a suggestion the very next time another web form asked for an email address.
