I'm thinking about getting one of the Neil Young powered B units, and was wondering if anyone could comment on the types of sounds they have and how good they are. Do they provide adequate sounds to run in an engine consist without any other sound units?

Do the powered B-units have sound ???

Heard the Texas Special/Pennsylvania units at a hobby shop and the sound was great.

They're equipped with Legacy sound systems according to the Lionel catalog. So if running a powered A unit with a powered B, there would be two sound systems. I would be running just a powered B, and was wondering if it has the same sound system as the powered A. In the Lionel catalog it spells out all the individual features of the Legacy sound system in the powered A units, but the powered B unit catalog description only says it has a Legacy sound system, but lists no individual features.

I seem to recall someone said the B unit sound system didn't include all the sound features the A unit has, but I don't remember that for sure. I don't know why it would be different - seems it would be easiest for Lionel just to put the same sound chip in the B as the A, but I wanted to see if anyone knew about that.

If you are interested, I have a new Neil Young Texas Special powered B unit that i never ran that I would sell. I would have to unbox it to see what sounds it has.
