I've seen the 2015 catalog with the LionChief Plus Camelback, and have recently heard that there was an earlier iteration around 2004 or so.

I'd really like one for my layout because I used to live near the NY&LB and they were common.

So my question is:  Are there other models of a CNJ (specifically) Camelback available? Don't care from whom; I'm just really not wanting to have an extra remote hanging around otherwise I'd go with the 2015 version.

My objection to 3RO Camelbacks is that Lionel, MTH and Williams Brass have all modeled the same prototype with the same wheel arrangement: 4-6-0.

There were 0-4-0, 4-4-0, 4-4-2, 2-8-0 and 0-8-8-0 (done) C'backs. Probably others. I'd much prefer a slogging, low-drivered 2-8-0 C'back freight hauler; all dirty and weathered like the truly ugly (in all the right ways) thing that it was.

Lionel did 6-28748 which was the TMCC version in 2004  They also did the conventional 6-28749 which had a different road number the sme year 2004.  MTh did the railking 30-1141 in 1999. Railking Imperial 30-1399 in 2006 . Railking 30-1635 in 2014. And the best of the best is the MTh Premier 20-3356 and 20-3357 with 2 different road numbers .  Williams also did one in brass in the 1990's
