Howard Electric trains ...2" gauge circa 1906

Hello all ...  Howard electric trains don't get much press ... mostly because they are a bit thin on the ground ....  made from roughly 1904-1908 ...they made a whole bunch of variations and models in a very short time ....they  run as well as any vintage English made car with a Lucas wiring harness.    Howard used a lot of rubber stamped graphics ...which give their line a unique look ...but a restorer's night mare .  I was very fortunate to have two very talented friends help on the restoration of the 2 Adair passenger cars .   The 2 cars were found sans paint .... so stare at bare steel or restore ...    the wonders of digital capture to help recreate some of the graphics ...and a very talented steady hand ( not mine) to do the hand lining.  The Adair cars are the large series in the Howard line ...and should have a #8 or #10 American pulling them ...  but till a #8 or 10 falls from the sky landing in my hands ..the little Howard #6  ( circa 1905-6  ) will have to do the work .... The #6 as a 4-2-0 ...is close to comical in appearance ..but real engines like this did run in the    NYC area prior to 1900 ...so not as far fetched design as one would assume...  so sit back and see a Howard run before your very eyes with just a mere click of the link ....
