This weekend I spent a few minutes making an upgrade to my Lionel Maiden Rescue accessory. The accessory is a crowd pleaser but I never overly fond of the Dudley Doright looking hero.  When the latest Lionel catalog came out and they had renewed their partnership with Disney, one of my first thoughts was they should re-release the maiden rescue accessory but have the poor lady on the tracks get saved by iron-man. Later, I thought, why wait for Lionel, I just need to find an iron-man figure of the correct size. Luckily, reading the forum, I followed a topic by frizzenbee that lead me to heroclix figures (thank you frizzenbee). Now, I have iron-man maiden rescue. I can't wait to start my layout and see how many people notice.

The Heroclix figures are really good. I have a number of them, including some plain clothed characters which blend in really well with many other figures. I didn't grow up reading comic books, and after the mid 90's Batman and Robin movie, swore I'd never watch another superhero movie again. However, the Marvel Cinematic Universe got me hooked, and its been fun to add a nod to that in my model railroad world.

Cool, but when I saw the title, first thing came to mind was Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath. OK, flash back to HS days. By the way. What do you have against Dudley Doright?

Nothing really against ol' Dudley, he is just a bit before my time. I barely remember him from cartoons.  So I wanted to update it with a character I am more familiar with.

The he title also makes me think of ozzy as well

also, thanks everyone for the nice comments!

Here are a few photos of hero clix figures on my currently dismantled layout:
