You have the option to purchase the entire truck assembly (6101100338) for $20.  Maybe a small price for such a large "oversight" on your part.  Laughing with you, not at you.

When I was a pup, I made a tunnel from window screen and plaster. Once the plaster set up, my American Flyer Franklin ran into it at speed and stopped dead with a broken smoke stack. Turns out that there were plaster stalactites hanging down from the tunnel roof. It's funny now, but it caused tears of frustration then.

Sorry your engine was damaged. I hope you get it repaired quickly and it's good as new.

The covered bridge works just fine with LC+ Mikado...... unless you place it right after a curve... which would pretty much interfere with many Locomotives on a layout.

They closed early at 3:30 P.M. on Friday too.  There is a storm brewing, but it has nothing to do with the weather.

I don't really care one way or the other on Lionel being open or not.

I know we don't get snow like the north but from some reason I've noticed several remarks on the forum this mourning about NC freaking out with snow.

Thousands were without power in NC , 11 inches in some places and the Western part was hammered as well.

The Governor acted accordingly I think.

I'm in East TN at the Western NC side and it was pretty heavy for us compared to normal snowfall this time a year.

Nothing like I've noticed on local TV about other parts of NC.

I took these ;pictures this am taking out the garbage for pick up. Nothing like you in the North but, still a PITA.

I used to live on the "lake-effect" eastern side of Cleveland,  off of Lake Erie, where a foot of snow could fall overnight without particular warning. Most took it in stride. By contrast, in the Philly area, where I now live,  the attitude is different, fostered for generations by a trolley system, where even a small amount of snow would foul the lines, causing much delay, since it is perceived mobility is reduced. Attitudes linger, even into the age of interstate highways. Where I live there is no public transportation (I do believe, however, hard rail service will return, because the population is spreading out) , but many still get worried about a few flakes. Beauty is, as the saying goes, in the eyes of the beholder.

Bill, I feel your pain; $20 is a gift compared to the $500 bucks I spent fixing my Big Boy after I destroyed the smoke units and its RCMC.

At least for this Philadelphian, that's a "real" snow--nice pictures!

Many northerners don't realize the reason for the shut downs aren't necessarily the weather, but the lack of equipment to deal with the weather.

Hope our friends in NC stay safe.

Yes but there now employee's are not from Michigan. They don't know how to drive in snow, and the area isn't prepared for snow, like a lot of us.

Thanks guys.

I was still allowed to eat dinner.  A $20 lesson is not bad.  Installation looks easy.  I will be using my Rio Grande 4213 for additional roadbed improvements.  I miss the slow speed and "Chuff, ,Chuff". 

A ham radio friend reported 20 inches of snow in Elk Park, NC.  The road crews are not equipped for this.

There are lessons ahead, it's the learning curve.  I appreciate your understanding.
