Can I TADS be repaired. I have a Lionel  that worked great for several years, but the sensor is not detecting objects in front of it like a passing train. When I turn  the sensor level adjustment. it changes. Evidently t here is  some kind of a relay issue. Any suggestions? thanks in advace

You posted this in the MTH section.  Yet you are calling it a Lionel...so are you referring to the Lionel 153IR ?  Or are you indeed referring to an MTH product like the Scaletrax ITAD or Realtrax ITAD?

I have disassembled both the Lionel 153IR and MTH ITAD and posted  "teardown" descriptions here on OGR showing how they work.  There are some versions of the 153IR that use custom electronic parts I don't think you'd be able to find.  The MTH ITADs use generic components.
