T4TT, there are scores of software programs out there for running an Internet forum Like this. NONE of them offer the feature you have asked for.

If that feature was available, it would totally remove moderation control from the forum owner/operator and place it in the hands of the forum members themselves. While that sounds good on the surface, it always results in anarchy, and that is never good in this scenario.

We'd love to have you become a Digital Subscriber, but I'm sorry, I can't offer you what you've asked for. It is simply is not possible to do.

Would this benefit to subscribing be possible?

This discussion forum and all discussion forums are privately owned. The owners pay expensive costs to have it developed, maintained and keep it running. You are a guest when you post on this forum and are subject to the rules of the forum owners.  OGR is not running a democracy here, but within the rules, there is ample room to make just about any point that you care to express.

I have been an OGR subscriber for many years because the content of the magazine is excellent and we enjoy reading it. We are on this forum to share in the open exchange of ideas and opinions and one can get valuable information on O gauge railroading from it. While I believe that everyone here should support OGR and be a subscriber, the forum remains open to everyone.

Interesting comment.  I have to ask, how many times have you had a conversation with a group of friends, and every comment was on topic the entire time?  Thought so.
