Good morning all ! It was a very busy weekend and just got home. Here are a few pictures I took. The boxcars are all prototype with 8 new ones and 4 weathered ones which should be in stock approx. In 2 months. The Jack's Dog Food company building should be this winter sometime. These are all we had displayed  this year, but wait... there are more surprises  on the way.20190706_09140620190707_11431520190706_08483220190706_10004120190706_10002220190706_09134620190706_08484020190706_09135620190706_091346[0)20190706_09135820190707_094914

Did Atlas, Lionel or MTH attend this show? Also, do you have a figure on how many people attended this show?

No. This isn't that kind of show. I didn't go this year, even though it was only an hour from me. They use a lot of the space for layouts, local vendors, and of course the Menards brand of trains. This is their baby, and it doesn't have anywhere near the pull of York. Most attendees are general public and lots of families with kids. Most have no clue who those other manufacturers are, other than Lionel perhaps. Personally, I don't need to see the layouts, and my taste in trains, means there's nothing for me to buy.

I attended but didn't think to take pictures.  It's a good train show, Menards does an excellent job hosting the event.  The deals were not as plentiful this year as last, but there were deals to be had, for sure.  It's a pretty "typical" train show with layout displays and vendors selling train-hobby related items. The vendors are a mix of train shops and personal sales.  There were a few technical societies as well, such as the Soo Line Historical & Technical Society.  This year Menards had inflatable bounce houses, fire trucks, a petting zoo, a small train ride and three race cars outside the building for children.  I think that was a great addition to make it more family friendly.  Based on that, next year I'm bringing my family.

And, it was nice to see you again !!

I attended the show on Saturday. I thought the show was better then last year. There also was a steady flow of people coming in. I think a lot more young families then last year. First thing I do is hit the Menards booth. So a new building in the works for roll out around winter which I have plans to add to the layout. I liked the 8 new boxcars. A nice mix of road names, expecially the Canadian ones. Also the Santa Fe box car has silver trucks this time around. It's an eye catcher. Plus four new weathered box cars. The rest of the show was train layouts mixed in with venders. I saw some decent prices on item for sale. The G gauge across from the Menards booth was impressive. They had a Big Boy running pulling an impressive string of PFE reefers. Sorry to say this time I only took a few pics this time around............Paul 2
