Since many of us are from the East, what railroads past and current were out of Idaho ( besides bnsf &UP)
A spud car? That begs the question, what do they ship potatoes in?

I believe 100 pound bags.
In hard sided pallets in refrigerated cars. As you have said so many times, google is your friend. There are very detailed articles about this subject if you put in ‘how are Idaho potatoes shipped?’ I think I may have learned more about the subject than I really needed to, but I guess that’s not the worst thing. Don’t bruise your spuds!
I heard of a mining RR in ldaho that ran in a narrow canyon and THROUGH a hotel, with a station in hotel , crammed between canyon walls and stream. Would like to see photos of THAT (with or without spud reefers rolling through)

The Milwaukee Road’s Pacific extension went through Idaho.
The Northern Pacific and Great Northern railroads also went through that state.
