Yes, one runs and the other just makes clanking sounds...… 

If it's a steam engine, the four wire tether is for PS1 and the 8 (or ten) is for PS2.

The charging port on a later 3 volt PS2 engine is a rectangular shape. Inside the PS2 3 volt used double AA batterie shapes. Smaller double AAA could be used. Early PS2 5 volt use a 9V looking shaped battery like the PS1 engine did. Some PS2 5volt had round charging ports but not all.

I don't believe the PS1 had charging ports?
