For those using Internet Explorer (IE) and having problems with this forum here is some info that I hope will help.

If you want to use Internet Explorer for the forum it must be IE 8/9, sorry that is just the way it . For those whose system doesnt support IE 8 or 9 look into Firefox, Safari or Chrome.

Now some have installed IE 8/9 an still are getting the "Unsupported Browser" message. In this case it is probably caused by a IE feature called Compatibility View being turned on. This mode basically makes IE 8/9 act like IE 6/7. It was put in place to support old sites that have not stayed current with their programming. To check if you are in this mode open IE and to to the "Tools" menu in IE and see if there is a checkmark next to "Compatibility View" then uncheck it. Also go to the Tools menu > Compatibility View Settings and Uncheck the "Display all websites in Compatibility View" This should fix any error messages tha IE 8/9 users are getting about the browser not being compatible with the new forum.

But I have sites that I need to use Compatibilty View with

First try browsing other sites and see if you really needed the Compatibility setting turned on, most sites no longer need it. But if you truly have a few sites you need to use "Compatibility View" with there is an easy option to use it for just those sites. Go to the page that you need to use Compatibility View with and then to go  Tools menu > Compatibility View Settings and you can add the site to the list of sites that automatically are viewed in Compatibility View.
