If you like smoke, why?

I like smoke because it reminds me.Of the old movies from the 1940s.Which the local tv station showed alot.I was hooked when a got a mth railking erie s2.I had it pulling good size train.I whatched as the locomotive  would go pass me and the smoke.Would hang over the boxcars.I now have a scented smoke pipe smell.Because it reminds me of my granddad.He would always smoke a pipe.I know alot of people don,t like locosound locomotives.But I have a nyo&w mohawk or to us southerns a mountain.It has smokes with the best of them.And every now and then it will spit out a smokering.Not sure how this happens but I hear the real steam locomotive did it to.

On rare occasions we turn our backs on the grandkids when they're running trains.

It just adds to the realism a little, that and JT's coal, grape and wood stove covers up the disgusting ick from the sour condensate and produced water covered coveralls (sometimes) and work boot stank in the hallway.
