I knew Roy for about 11 years as we both belonged to the Golden Gate Lionel Railroad Club. He was a great guy and often helped so many members not only on our club but the Golden State Toy Train Operators and anyone that wanted to talk about Lionel, ERR, Marx, etc.
He belonged to many quartet Barbershop/Doo Wop groups. Roy sang with “The Barbershop Chorus” as well as “Sound Judgement” “The Golden Chords men.” “The Fault Line Chorus” and lastly “The Treble Makers.” Boy did he love to sing.
Radio Roy, as he was know by, had a love affair with Studebaker cars and repairing old car radios. He was a member of the Mid-Peninsula Old Time Car Club and the Sequoia Chapter of Studebaker Drivers Club he participated in many of their events.

That's how I started speaking with RoyBoy ... when I showed a Studebaker truck model here. I really enjoyed our few interactions about different things. Such a nice guy! I wish I could have spent time with him in person.
