The highly anticipated Premier F3 diesel locomotives has landed at MTH Electric Trains this week!  There are two containers of them and the first are being unloaded as I write.  Our exclusive custom-run New York Ontario & Western F3 A-B Sets are scheduled to arrive in the second or a third container to be unloaded.  They should all be shipping this month.

It is VERY IMPORTANT to note our exclusive run of NYO&W F3 A-B sets are modeled correctly without steam generators and painted the CORRECT colors.  The earlier MTH F3's have incorrect details and the most recent Lionel models were painted completely wrong colors twiceIf you want a prototypical set of NYO&W F3's, these are the ones!  Order now, because there aren't very many left after our pre-orders are filled!

Would you consider a custom run of a New York Ontario & Western Legacy diesel from the new Lionel catalog?? I am not sure which locomotive would work best but I might interested in the road name. I'm not really into F3s or FAs though.

Thank you for the suggestion.  We welcome the opportunity to work with Lionel in the future, however the NYO&W railroad only had F3, FT, NW2 and 44-Ton diesel locomotives.

EMD F3:
Lionel's attempt at a NYO&W F3 about four years ago turned out to be a total disaster.  Not only did they paint them the wrong colors once, they RE-PAINTED them totally wrong colors a second time.  There was also several inaccuracies in detail and markings.

EMD FT:
Lionel only has this model available in semi-scale starter sets.

NW2:
Lionel built one in scale, but in a later body-style and not prototypical in appearance despite being touted with "road specific details".  They also painted it the wrong colors with an off-white appearance and florescent orange and off-yellow colors.

GE 44 Ton:
Lionel does not have tooling for this locomotive.

Well as one of those “Realistic Fantasy Lovers” I would be okay if the road name is on a non prototypical locomotive… a what if?

Have these arrived at the store yet? I see some photos of this batch of F-3s from some other dealers popping up. Can't wait for my pre-order.

Several containers are arriving at MTH and our custom run F3’s are either in the second or third.  Our shipments from MTH arrive on skids via freight truck so we will not know unless we get tracking information.
