Information/Interest in older Marklin HO Passenger Cars

Here are the rest of these beauties with 9 unopened boxes still to go. Look at the green baggage/RPO car with people in it. The doors are 'corrugated' and slide up into the roof!

Most are 9.5 - 10.5 inches in length and made of metal.

Does anyone know any information on these - when built and the like?  Please post  THANKS

The boxes will have Märklin catalog numbers (4 digits I assume) printed on; the green/creme bagage car with opening door has 4093. With for instance "Märklin 4093" Google might tell you more. The color of the boxes also give an approximate date, look here: http://www.maerklinist.de/page...onenwagen-Verpackung

Note that adding passengers and other changes are generally not appreciated by Märklin collectors and might influence the value downwards.

I'm at work and don't have my KOLL's Marklin guide handy. Sam,a $9.99 start is reasonable. The majority of the cars you are showing were produced in the mid to late 1960's,the longer plastic green striped baggage and orange striped passenger cars are in an experimental "POP" color scheme that was offered in the early 1970's. The only issue I see is that figures and other items have been glued inside and that may distract from the final value. The best car as far as value would be the red/blue "Spieseraum" club car. It is somewhat scarce. Good luck Sam!

Good evening Fred and Ricky and THANKS for your comments and replies!  I really appreciate you. This thread slipped into oblivion and I had forgotten about it but will certainly look into this further. I have not tried to market them on ebay as most that I was watching ended without any bids during the virus disturbance. DIdn't realize that the figures had been added. Did none come that way from the factory?
