Posting here since this get the most views, but it seems like there has been a lot of topic drift into the wrong forums.  Rich has vented about it.

The addition of the new LC+ in the control systems forum, has led to all sorts of post in that forum concerning pricing, models to be made, how I like them when the control forum has traditionally been the troubleshooting and how to use the system forum.

The 3rail was the catch all for other topics.

Since operating issues and engine repair issues have lasting value to members and future members, seems like those forums need to be kept cleaner to allow the information to be available and relevant.

LC+ is really just a subset of RC controlled trains and other systems like it.  Realize it is new and hot, but at some point how many post on control since it is a pretty easy system, since even 4-6yo know how to use it because the controlled is based on a common rc toy theme.

Just musing....on this, but I do think some interesting Control System discussions get pushed off the front page for questions like will they make my road name in X?   G

Revamping the forums will not eliminate thread or topic drift.

The individual forum members are responsible to place their topic in the correct forum and whether a topic drifts or not is also the responsibility of the members.

I posed this a little tongue in cheek.  Really was more of a statement to the crowd, with possible discussion if there is a better method.

Not really a sledge hammer.  I guess the real point is does the main header subject mean anything?  LC+ under Control Systems should be about LC+ Command, not anything related to LC+.   G

Alan, I'm kinda new to the forum, i've been on for about a month and this forum has been great for learning from other model railroaders and sharing my railroading experiences on my youtube channel: Dans Trains.
