The 2018 catalog shows a red 7640 RS-11 Conrail with large "Lehigh Valley" showing thru the paint. Has anybody seen one of these? Is it as pictured? Kind of a clever idea for modeling repurposed engines. It's been a while since I bought a new Lionel; is this how it works now? Charles Ro says they'll have them in June, or so.

The Lehigh Valley was one of the railroads that was part of the Conrail startup. Conrail would over paint previous roads marking and paint CR in its place. Lionel recently issued a set of F3 or F7s ABBA which had 3 different paint scheems. Early Conrail was a real “rainbow of colors” so yes they are accurate to some degree as I do not have any pictures to back up my above statement.

I have 2 Legacy PRR RS11 and I am assuming the LV RS11 is also a great engine go I think it is a good buy. I think they are at Charles Ro now you may want to check.
