IT's TEAM TRACK TUESDAY 12/26/2017 Edition!!!!  Share your team track photos here!!  I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas day and got to spend time with your trains.  I certainly had BIG FUN playing with my trains on Christmas day!!

Team tracks are a vital part of day to day real railroad operations.  Team tracks are found in remote rural locations, small towns and large cities.  Practically every type of freight car can be on/off loaded on a team track.  MOW and some head end passenger equipment can also be on/off loaded on team tracks.

Everyone, regardless of layout size, scenery detail or lack there of,  is invited to post photos of your team track operations.  Photos of real team track operations are also welcome.  The purpose of this thread is to have fun and to inspire one another.  If you have a simple oval of tin plate track with an undesignated spur or an elaborate museum detailed calibre layout, please feel free to post your photos here.  We'd love to see them!

This week on the Free State Junction Railway:  Dateline - 12/24/1952 at 8:00 a.m.  Railway Express Agency workers unload the last of REA express boxcars.  Having started at 4:30 a.m. these guys have been working feverishly to get these Christmas packages off the boxcars and onto trucks which hustle this time sensitive cargo to the REA distribution center 30 minutes away.   Home delivery truck drivers will work well into the night.  Some may even see Santa while others will likely be Santa.

Beginning with the first boxcar at 4:30, the forklift operator has crossed the bridge plate hundreds of times today and it's only 8 am!  Otto the truck driver waits patiently in front of his rig for this last trailer to be loaded.  Once he gets this trailer to its destination he can go home and begin putting together that Lionel train set for his son Russ and daughter Lily.  They love toy trains and so does Otto!!

I hope everyone enjoys their week!  Don't forget to post some photos.  Have a wonderfully fun and creative week and HAPPY NEW YEAR to EVERYONE!!!   See ya next week on the TEAM TRACK!!

OK, here's my contribution to team track Tuesday.

First, on the team track is a siding for freight cars to load and/or unload lumber (fork lift), milk containers (milk platform), and ice (icing station):imageimageimageFurther up the team track past the switch is the Diesel Fueling Station (on a siding), magnet crane (between the team track and a siding),  and barrel loader (also on a siding):imageimageYet further up the team track is the operating freight station (on a siding), and log loader and another milk platform:

imageAnd then the same team track splits into 2 separate sidings for steam engines including one to get water at the #38 water tower:image
