IT's TEAM TRACK TUESDAY .... Early edition nod Post your team track photos here.

I'm publishing early because I have to put my computer in the shop for repair in an hour. It will be there for a few days.

Team tracks are a vital part of day to day real railroad operations. Team tracks provide on/off loading for most every type of freight car, some passenger head end cars, and MOW equipment. Photos of model railroad and real railroad team track photo operations are welcome.

This week on the Free State Junction Railway's team track one in Lower Patsburg, the FJSR is bringing home the bacon with a cattle car load of young hogs for Henry's Hog Farm. Henry has just guided the final young hog into the truck and will now remove the plank, replace the tailgate, and drive back to the farm with a new load of bacon to be. Patrick, its appropriate that you little piggies are "going off to market" as the..ah... processed piggies have arrived and are being loaded...

...as this shipment is for the "Rib Fest" this weekend!

What a night it has been down at the Everett Team Track and Community Park! Forget about the upcoming All-American Soap Box Derby, the All-Valley Boxcar Derby just ended with an amazing and totally unexpected win by Little Danny Jr. of Richfield!

Unlike Akron's Soap-Box-Derby, the Valley's Derby does not emphasize things like rules and regulations. There are no age limits, no construction guidelines, and no inspections. Held each year in Everett, the derby is just an entertaining night of carefree gravity racing.

The annual competition includes the always popular Wheelbarrow Race...

The Freestyle competition...

And the Grand Multi-Wheel Class race.

In an amazing downhill run, old Hank Fisher took an unexpected swerve to the right and locked wheels with two other racers. Danny Jr, riding his second-hand Big Wheel, was able to maneuver his way to victory! Danny becomes the youngest winner in the history of the Boxcar Derby!

It was a great night of racing. Come sunrise, the Everett Team Track & Community Park will be back to business. No less than five boxcars are expected to arrive on the morning train.
