IT's TEAM TRACK TUESDAY!!!  Share photos of team track operations on your railroad.  Team tracks are a vital part of day to day operations on real railroads.  Most types of freight cars can be on/off loaded on team tracks.  Passenger train head end equipment and MOW equipment can also be on/off loaded on team tracks.

This week on the Free State Junction Railway Mountain Division team track a side door MOW caboose is being loaded with supplies for some track work which will take place later this week up the line a bit.  The B and O is in charge of doing the MOW work on the Mountain Division.

Lets see your what's happening on your railroads team track.  Everyone can participate.  If you have a simple oval of track with an undesignated siding/spur or an elaborately detailed museum quality layout go ahead and post your photos here.  Real railroad team track operation photos are also most welcome.  If you miss posting on Tuesday, no worries, go ahead and post any day of the week.

Have a wonderfully creative and fun week.  See ya next week on the TEAM TRACK. IMG_6804IMG_6820IMG_6816IMG_6873IMG_6878IMG_6881

With the official start of Summer just days away, folks in the Valley are getting ready for the 18th Annual "Burn The Valley" BBQ Festival. Folks come from all around, but it's the locals who always take center stage. Some of their secret family hot sauce recipes go back many generations.

The competition is fierce, but no one competes harder than Jaite's very own King of Sauce, Big Belly Bill. His specially blended "Hades Hot Sauce" is so intensely hot that some have tried to have it labeled a public safety hazard. There have even been calls to banish Bill from the contest!

Despite the naysayers, Bill mixed up an extra large, extra hot batch of his Hades Sauce for this year's competition.

As a precaution, Everett's Fire Brigade was on hand when the sauce arrived at the Team Track and Community Park.

A newspaper reporter from the Valley Sentinel was there to document Bill's taste test!

Heard a train blowing for Everett a short time ago (8:35pm).  Maybe another load of hot sauce?  Or could it be those of a more gentile palate; the wine tasting train?

I sure enjoy hearing those horns in the evening!

Whatever train it was, it returned to Everett crossing at 10:24pm.  This horn was especially melodious.  I couldn't identify it.  Time to head out with the digital recorder.

I don't know if that guy is sampling the hot sauce or the hot "sauce".

I'm posting this just in under the wire for a Team track Tuesday...

A supply of corrugated sheeting is being offloaded and shipped to a home improvement store...

Yes I did. Really easy. just some corrugated craft paper like this:

corrugated card stock

Just cut to the size you need. Luckily, my pack came with the right color green.
