I totally agree with all the above statements, Jeff has helped me more than once..
I never had the opportunity to meet this gentleman, but everthing that I have read about him, tells me he's first class.
Hey all!
I finally got through to Jeff this past week. I chatted with him briefly on the phone - he is o.k. I was COVID worried about him as he usually gets back to me right away. He advised he is SO BUSY!
Let's keep our gap as wide as we can, and cut him some slack as we continue to support him. He is at least 5-7 working days behind in orders and they orders keeping coming!
I had my first interaction with Jeff almost 30 years ago as a teenager trying to repair my Dad’s childhood trains. As other have said, he guided me to the right parts and provided speedy service. Back then he sent the parts to us before we even paid!. We even bought some pretty expensive tools using this method. But, the thing that stands out most to me, was his patience in explaining and dealing with a teenager. I never feat like he treated me any differently than when he was talking with my dad. My dad is no longer alive, but I have dealt with Jeff as recently as 2017 and he still remember talking with dad back in the 90’s. Truly, Jeff is a giant among men.
I talked to Jeff the other night and he said he was over 100 orders behind. He is getting so many orders. My last order took him a week to finally ship. I have no problem with that. Right now he is that one-legged man in a butt-kicking contest as the saying goes. He is very busy.
To tell the truth I fear the day he stops taking orders.
I ordered some parts before Christmas, Jeff is great! I managed to get a 671, 2035, and 1666 that had been waiting to be fixed boxed up in my garage for years running with the parts. Also fixed a 154 crossing gate I picked up at a train show for 5 bucks with new bulbs.
