This train represents CNJ's passenger service between Jersey City and points in Pennsylvania, such as Allentown, Wilkes Barre or Jim Thorpe. That could also be as far as Harrisburg, over the Reading's valley line west of Allentown.

CNJ equipment made the entire run to Harrisburg, sometimes operated by a Reading crew west of Allentown (unless the CNJ crew was qualified over that part of the Reading).

To model CNJ commuter service, I would like to find another All Nation N&W coach kit to be built into one of CNJ's club cars.

They were coaches outfitted with more comfortable seats and a bar. These cars had names centered on the lower car side in lower case (no capitals) lettering. Riders desiring to use a club car for their commute bought monthly subscriptions that were in addition to the cost of their commutation ticket.
