I am not sure if many of you know, but Jim Prindle of Boyertown, PA passed away in late August. I did not know him well, but visited his shop often. He fixed an old engine that my grandfather bought for my father and eventually passed down to me. As always it is a shame to lose a dedicated member of the train community. I have driven by his shop a few times since and saw family packing boxes up. Does anyone know what happened to the shop and trains? Auction?

I just found this out. Very sad news. He was a very nice man. I had a loco in need of new rollers and he installed them on the spot and charged me like $2.45. I also talked to him about the layout I was building my nephew and he gave me a few tips and pointers. When I described the mountain for the layout he took me in the back and gave me 3 boxes of foam he had saved for terrain building but said he'd probably never use it and was happy to give it to me. You can see the final product in the one Christmas thresd.

I do not know anything about his inventory. Perhaps someday at Maurerail?

RIP Jim, thanks.
