Here's my first HO tug and I don't have a place to put it. I can say it was a nice change of model building. This was a full ship kit that I had to cut the hull down to the water line. Tell me what you think about my first tug. I drilled and glassed all the doors and windows. Wound the winch with real steel braided cable. Added scale tires for bumpers and made tow ropes from hemp cord. Lastly I light the upper and lower cabins with LEDs.

I have a Lionel tug and no place to put it. I hope to have a small seaport someday.

The cabin paint is Krylon cover Maxx sea glass green. It's one of Krylons new colors.
Very nice build. I took a Hiatus from model railroading to build a few railmarine
Models. I too built a boat and detailed it and lit it. It was very intriguing to experience boat building.
Your tug looks fantastic.
An O scale version of that would look great pushing a car float.
It looks very nice, like it just came from the marina showroom.
Now it needs to look dirty/scruffy/filthy and scuffed up, like a hard working tug looks.
