Recently picked a K-Line E8 Southern Pacific Trailing Motorized A Unit from an auction site that had a cruise switch on it.  I already had the E8 AA Units, but they didn't have cruise - so I added the ERR Cruise to them.  Well, I popped the shell off this new E8 and it has a K-Line cruise board in it (along with the 2 motors and smoke unit).  What do I need to purchase to get this running on its own?  I originally bought it for parts in the future and I was intrigued that it had a cruise switch, now I want to make it an independent unit!  If I wanted to run it behind my current E8, could I plug it's 10 pin wiring harness into without frying anything?  Did they put two cruise cards in their E8AAs back in the day?

On your new engine you should only need a R2LC and motherboard to plug it into though it seems strange that it has Cruise board in it and no way to communicate with it already. Even if the tether on you other lead engine has the correct wiring to mate with your new engine its unlikely an ERR Cruise engine will run lock step with a K-Line Cruise engine.
