Can't see it mentioned anywhere - will the Kadee Roller Bearing trucks have rotating bearing caps? Much of my stock is Atlas, and other makes' moulded bearing cap trucks look a bit odd next to them, like the axles have frozen & the car needs a bad order...!!!

Unfortunately Atlas trucks do not easily replace the likes of Weaver trucks due to the Atlas bolster design.

Hi Jordan, these Americans are a modest bunch, never boasting about how they improve designs, etc ... so rotating r/b caps, eh ... you'd think they'd have told us by now.  Anyway, it'll be interesting to see if any of our UK Kadee importers can be tempted to try.

In the meantime, have you tried turning the Atlas truck bolsters over so the lump is down?  I've started the countersink on the new top surface to seat the screw better ... works fine and looks OK-ish!

I know I'll get boo hoo'd, but I do like those,  what looks like 70 ton Barber S-2 roller bearing trucks.    I can use one pair on an Overland tri level car that I picked up 2 years back at Indianapolis.   The darned car is so heavy, I needed to beef up sprung trucks to keep it from bouncing around all over the place, like an old Rambler with bad springs...LOL!     Will need to try a pair on this big car.   Thanks for the pictures Eric.

See Erik`s photos. They seemed free rolling and indeed the end caps rotate.

That's good to see.

Not sure I'm with you Jason? How can the Atlas bolster be turned upside down without mucking up the locating of the springs in the side frames? I keep the stiffener piece in place or else the frames trap the axles as the frames move, plus the springs push the frames out of alignment anyway without that piece in place.
