Seems strange, but the fluted and smooth cars were punched differently.  I assume you are just curious - I have a smooth coach, but somebody had filed off the corrugations.

If you were seriously looking for a different window arrangement in Pullman style corrugations, K-Line punched a bunch of different ones.  The Daylight cars were close to Kasiner in appearance.

I have not seen the OK extrusions, so cannot confirm that they are using the same dies.

Check on main forum, Silver Meteor, I have a 12 car Silver Meteor with multiple different cars including different sleeper configurations.  Tell Ted at OK Engines what you want and if he has the prints, he will make it for you in scale.  He also with much cajoling and after providing him with correct shells, made me PRR Metroliner shells in all 3 configurations.  Also posted on forum.

Good luck and enjoy

Here's my OK Engines Seaboard Air Line sleeper Pinehurst:

Lightweight, Budd  (5-1-4-4) 5 Double Bedrooms,

1 Compartment, 4 Sections, 4 Roomettes

Budd Lot # 9658-168 Plan 9537

The trucks are from GGD, the ends, floor, and doors are scratchbuilt, and the diaphragms are from PSC.

The aluminum body is very nice IMO.  Like Mikeg said, OK Engines will put windows wherever you specify or follow the Budd plans he has.

If I was to get another I would buy only the aluminum body and window plastic.  I didn't especially like the ends that were provided, however the owner (Ted Brebeck) stated they were looking into making new ends with better detail last time I corresponded with him.  The GGD trucks are top notch, interiors can be gotten from PSC and Keil Line.

OH!  Forgot to mention mine are 3-rail, but only the trucks would need to be changed from 3-rail to 2-rail.
