Can you lightly sand the word diner off? Then light will shine thru the sign you add on top of it. JohnA

That’s what was I thinking but didn’t want to destroy it. I don’t know if the letters are translucent the light shines through nice. I’m going to put my daughter to work with her cricket printer to create the new sign  

I would LIGHTLY sand the whole sign surface. The Cricut machine can be used to make individual letters, or as a “negative “ with the letters cut out like holes. You got this! Post a picture when you are done- will be amazing. JohnA

I used Word and a bubble jet printer to create the replacement sign. I printed it on vellum paper from Evans Designs. I grabbed a photo of a motor cycle shop interior off the internet and replaced the diner interior. I added a motorcycle and figures. Next step is installing it on the layout.

Nice job on the Harley dealership. The interior looks similar to a dealership I visited (was looking on behalf of a friend -- really).
