Labor cost to install tracks and accessories on a layout

Just curious: Is there a medical issue that would prevent you from doing these tasks yourself? You already have completed the hard part!  ☺

If it is your hobby, and you are physically able, you should consider doing it yourself.    It is more satisfying than buying it and you will know how to maintain it as  you go along if you install it.

If you really want to hire someone, ask at your local hobby shop or model railroad club.    There usually a few guys around that will do it for the fun of it or pretty cheaply.

Both responses are right on! Gods intent and Good Advice. Wrong Advice-taker. I can’t hang a picture straight on a wall. Zero skill and aptitude in-line both of you and most of this forum. The bench work was outsourced as well. Shame on me. But it appears I over compensate in my day job to fund this inadequacy. If you gents can refer someone to me in NJ to do this for me for a fair fee, thT would. E great. 

If you are in LCCA or LOTS, ask a few local members to help you in a work session.  Usually a few ham on rye sandwiches and a couple of cold beers will be appropriate compensation.

I agree with checking local hobby shops for leads. Also, a local club might have someone willing to hire out.

If I was looking, I would expect to pay $20-25 hourly. (that's about $40 W2 in wage reality)  Trying to pin down an amount, say $200, leaves room for scope of work expectations that don't match up with both sides. I would not expect anyone to do it for free or a dinner unless we were already friends. Then they would probably help out of friendship.
