I personally have hated all sounds, except whistles, since I first was introduced to the annoying Lionel 'Chicken' Car.
I for one LOVE the crewtalk
i strictly collect lionchief and conventional and love the dialog my 2 lionchief engines have
i'll tell you this - i want an LC2.0 GENESIS so bad i can't see straight as the Female dialog reminds me of my character Fenix Starr

Just another reason I’m glad I went all Lionel rather than MTH. If you want crew talk, just push the buttons on your remote. If you don’t want it, then don’t push the buttons. Simple.
MTH crew talk can be turned off in the settings. So if you don't want it, you can disable it. When enabled it's random, and there is more variation. Which is great. The Lionel crew talk is the same thing over and over and over.

Thanks for the clarification. I don't use crew talk much anyway, except for visitors.
One crewtalk feature I really like is TMCC engines mated with the TMCC crewtalk-equipped bay window cabooses Lionel made (they didn't make a whole lot of these). These can be set up so the talk goes back and forth between the engine and the caboose. Neat effect.
Lionel's crew talk has definitely gotten better since ~2020. What frustrates me is that the entry level Lionchief stuff has road specific dialog but not a $1500 steam locomotive. Oh well. I also don't use it too much but agree that visitors love it.
I am talking about the steamers. Has anyone known these guys from back in the steam era? TRUST me...they didn't talk like that. Nick
