Picked up my Lionel Corporation Celebration Series caboose to put an end to my 7 year wait. The caboose is awesome. Also picked up the refer to go with it. I can't thank MTH enough for finally producing it.

Wow ... 7 years for the caboose. And I thought Flyionel was bad...
Nice set. how about some video?
Long wait but worth it. ENJOY MARTY!!!!
MartyE,
Now that is one fine looking Tin Plate Train, well done sir and it was worth the wait!
Not done quite yet however, where is the matching 2810 Crane Car? MTH/Lionel needs to make one especially for this great looking Celebration Work Train.
PCRR/Dave
Got to have a Celebration Work Train 810/2810 Work Crane in the Lionel Celebration Colors to complete that incredible Tin.
Gorgeous!
MartyE,
I know you Special Ordered your Lionel Corp Celebration Caboose, did the place where you purchased your MTH/Lionel Caboose order any extra's, to sell to the general public. I would actually like to add this particular Lionel Caboose to my growing 817 Collection/ Consist.
Just where did you get your new MTH 2817 Caboose? Which store. The more I look at that Celebration Series Tin the more I like it. Real nice Train.
PCRR/Dave
The 817 mini collection is growing.
Lookin' good!
Nice Marty. NO train is complete without a caboose!
MartyE,
Is your new LCCS Caboose a lighted Caboose similar to the Blue Comet Caboose that Chris just received? This is going to be real cool if they are starting to make all the new 2817 Cabooses lighted.
PCRR/Dave
Beautiful Train!
If I have picture in my mind of what an electric train is supposed to look like, this is it.
Very nice indeed.
Dave
I got it from Imperial. I believe they sold all of there's but they maybe able to get more. It is illuminated.
Just when you thought you were FINALLY finished after a 7 year wait, someone comes along and says " No you're not- You need just one more car to complete the set." Uggghhhhhh!!!! LOL! Beautiful train set!
Purdy...
If you don't mind, is 11-70198 the MTH number of the caboose?
The train is standard gauge and not O gauge track, correct??
The 2018 catalog shows it with all black trucks so I wasn't sure. Just trying to zero in and take a closer look.
Thanks - Jon

These are all O. I’ll post all the numbers in a bit.
Shiny!!! What kind of control system does a Lionel engine from MTH come with
Looks great! Congrats!
GVDobler,
Any time you see 800/2800 Tin Plate being talked about it is always O Gauge. The 500 series rolling stock is Standard Gauge.
PCRR/Dave
800/2800 & 600/2600 series 263E Work Train - all O Gauge
Thanks for the info. I saw standard gauge in the catalog and didn't know if there are two versions.
once again. Very nice train.
Nice Marty, Good things come to those who wait, or something like that. A beautiful set for sure. Hopefully there were other trains to run, awaiting this caboose?

This engine has yet to see power. Good news is, it's the conventional version so I doubt much could go wrong with waiting. It will now be under the tree next year if I put one up.
Again I have given MTH a lot of poking for the caboose taking so long but it was well worth the wait. Now this York I can just ask Andy how his day is going. The set as it stands looks really incredible.
MartyE,
It does look incredible, would love to have a P2 or P3 on my over head Shelf Layout. Very serious looking Tin no doubt about it. Would definitely be a great addition to my new Train Room.
PCRR/Dave
Wonderful set!
