That is such a cool scene, man. Aerosmith used to play in a similar looking barn in Sunapee NH in their very early days. Looks like the old Aerosmith venue still exists.

Dan, I have a friend, Don, who played with Steve Tallerico (Steve Tyler) in a predecessor band of Aerosmith, know as Chain Reaction. Don and Steve grew up in Yonkers, NY and played music together. Unfortunately for Don, he was never a member of Aerosmith, so he never made the big bucks. Arnold

I have considered tiny stone jails such as the Tom Yorke kit, but l guess the simpleist one is the Red Mountain Town one between Silverton and Ouray just north of Red Mountain Pass.  The shaft house has been restored, but the remnants of the jail, a stockade of vertical timbers, still stands.  Only a polar bear could survive a winter night in that, at 11,000+ feet.

I model 1943, and info on the Tennessee Highway Patrol during WW2 is very scarce. I know that they used an all-white paint job as late as 1938, but maybe they went to black fenders during the war, but I can't be sure. Anyway, this will do for now until I know for certain (I can always paint the fenders later if need be).

I still don't know the colors of their uniforms, though, so I have no scale troopers yet.

Really, I think it'd be highly unlikely they'd have been this far up in the mountains in that timeframe. I doubt they go up there now for anything even though it is a state highway...

When the layout was still in the planning phase, I painted a grouping of GIs, including an MP in class A uniform, but they were 1/48 scale and they're just too small for the 1/43 scale figures I have along the front of the layout. Maybe someday I'll place them along the back edge for forced perspective...

Cool! D.Solomon, listed right on the label. I know this catchy song because it was on the Aerosmith box set,Pandora's Box.

Very cool police choppers'.. Where have I seen your background flats  before?  I really like the brown brick with the fire escapes'....  Nice scenes and shots!!!

Many thanks. I originally purchased the background scene building flats on Ebay from a lady that offered a bunch of them in O,HO and N scales. The images and shadow effects are so realistic that the flats almost seem three dimensional. On Ebay look under O scale building flats.
