Finally getting some time to make progress on the large church. I added stain glass coloring for the windows, and built the roof. Shingles are peel and stick by individual rows, took some time, but I am happy with the results. I have some more details to add, and the LED lighting before I place it on the layout.

That’s really impressive Rich! What are you using for stained glass?
The stained glass is an image I printed out on clear transparency plastic. I downloaded the image from one of the websites on the scenery source list under printable. I think big indoor trains.

Terrific looking structure.
The stained glass windows and red door help break up the monochromatic look of the exterior.
I might also look for some other detail areas to do the same or are you planning on weathering it ?

Yes, I used the Pegasus model kit - gothic structure. Very flexible. I used several ofthe to make the church.

In Albany NY there is a building that used to be a RCA distribution company called RTA that took over this older building, and added a 25' high 4 ton nipper to the roof. Here is a link to the actual building and a bit of the story.

I had always anted to add some facsimile of the building to my layout and using the Korber/MRS line of modular structures I was able to make a good model of the real building. Here are some photos of the building on my layout.
I have to add a loading dock to the tall portion of the building and some more details.
At one end of my Albany union station I have a Korber Switch tower, on this end I added a new structure I made from a kit from Altoona Model Works. Over all the kit turned out ok, but the walls were warped and I had to heat them to flatten out. Also the included laser cut shingles were harder to use that others I have experienced, so I went to more of a rolled roofing look.
As always open to suggestions and comments.

Rich, All the buildings look great! I couldn't see the link to the actual RCA/RTA building, but I did a google search and found some photographs. Your Nipper is certainly close to scale! Wow! I have seen the picture of the dog and the Victrola dozens of times, but never knew his/her name was Nipper. The church really looks elegant!

Beautiful buildings, Rich, but gotta love Nipper. Now you just need to get a model of an old phonograph so he can listen to his master’s voice!!!
Short update - small hot dog stand. I found this on eBay they had hotdog, hamburger fish and chips so variety, included the revolving sign. Simple to build.

Rich. Is that the kit by the Turkish Company Proese? If so, I bought their Enginehouse kit with the operating doors and a lot of LED’s. It is a bear to put together, especially the windows. I am writing an article for Allan about the assembly. I am glad to hear their smaller kits are easier. It looks good.

Yes Donald it Is from them. I think I bought from a reseller in the UK and with freight it was a bit less than direct.
this kit was pretty easy to build, and it came with led lighting and the motor for the sign and voltage regulation. It also had all the signs. It is pretty complete, and simple to build and was pretty inexpensive.
the parts allow for painting prior to assembly on many of them so I could use spray paint-no hand painting i this kit. I added the figures before I put the roof on. I did not glue the roof down so I could access the motor speed control for the sign - I think it is a multi turn pot.
Very nice Rich. The rotating sign adds interest to the scene.

The hot dog stand looks great! I have seen Proses' video of the enginehouse with the operating doors. I did not see the hot dog stand on their Website. I have purchased a couple tools from them, but not any kits.

Stunning railroad obviously. The detail and the diversity...just gorgeous. You obviously have plenty o cash to spend.
Thing is, I've been with the tools for decades and I've never seen a job quite like yours. So clean. Tools looking like they were placed, and not left or set for the next day.
My question is this: Did you build it with your hands or did you hire out to someone to build it for you?
