Doug did you hire Norm Abrams to build it that fast? i think i need you to take  trip to my house as i need about another 150 feet of benchwork. so with your speed i guess i only need a couple of hours of your time! seriously great stuff!!!

That's some humpin'. Nice looking benchwork.

 

Are the curved strips that I can see for elevated track?  Nice looking track plan.

The layout is 25 by 20 with a diagonal. One upper track and two lower ones.  OnDrew from Model Railroad Benchwork built it. Built the modules and then brought them here. We set it up yesterday.

Where did you get the track lighting? What type of bulbs?

Home Depot. Daylite LED bulbs.  They are bright, don't use much energy (8.5 watts) and no heat.

Man, that is really nice bench work and talk about a fast setup!! That is looking like one mighty fine layout.

The bench work is done with the exception on minor tweeks.  I will be doing the rest, looking forward to it.

Sometimes it's a sheer wonder what someone can do with some wood, a saw, and an idea.  Great job so far.  Looking forward to seeing the progress.  Keep up the excellent work!  Bob S.

Nice bench work.  Do you have any track going under the upper level? if so how you getting in there?

Doug, you're making great progress and I really like the carpentry skill displayed.

 

Suggestion:  When you post additional photos, use the "Edit Topic" feature located to the right of your original post and insert the date of the new photos/information.

there is track going under the second level.  Access is achieved by access holes next to the track and removable scenery.  To lay the track the second level was removed.  Once the lower level track is in place I'll be heading back to cut in more access holes but for now I left a lot of excess plywood as I'm not really sure where the final placement of the track will be.
