Re: LCP smoke unit overheating, on/off switch not working

Guys,

The unit is a CP GP20. Have had it 3 to 4 months. I have the engine cover off. Smoke works, no loose wires, no apparent internal damage. The overheating smoke unit is beginning to melt the plastic above. Before I simply unseat the wire plug to the smoke unit, does anyone have any adjustments I might make? Suggestions to resolve the problem? Any info on these on/off switches?

Is the fan running? If not that is why it is overheating? If fan is running, there is a chance a FET shorted and giving full voltage to the smoke element. Requires a new LC+ board. G
