Hi Everyone,

I just picked up a new Comcast Gateway because my current one kept losing the internet connection every hour.  I had been using my separate Linksys router since I started this thread a long time ago because my LCS Wi-Fi module would not connect to it.  I decided to try to connect my LCS Wi-Fi module to my new Comcast Gateway and it connected on the first try.  Whoo!  Time to pack up my Linksys router.

Harvy,

Did you try the new app that Lionel released?  I tried it with a Router I am almost sure that at one time I connected using the "Network" option and then later on it would not connect.  the new app worked like a charm to connect up my Asus AR3100 Router.

Yes, I tried it, but it never worked for me.

Hi Leandro,

I think you are my first customer from South America.  Nice to virtually meet you.

The problem you are having is that eTrain Command Mobile was designed and built way before the Lionel LCS Wi-Fi module came out.  Therefore, at that time, there was only one way to be able to get a mobile device to control your Lionel trains.  That way is to use Wi-Fi from your phone to connect to your wireless router, which is then connected to computer that is running eTrain Command Console (Windows application), then connecting your computer to any Lionel command base unit.  So what I am saying is that you must have my Windows application in order to use the mobile app.  The mobile app will not connect directly to the LCS Wi-Fi module.  However, the Windows app will.  It is all explained in the description for the mobile app in the Google Play Store.

You can read more about the Windows application and purchase it on ebay by clicking on the links in my signature below.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi, Harvy ! Nice to meet to !

I was excited to buy because It was to Android and I not read the description in Play Store.(no problem)

So eTrain Command Console by windows is connect directly in LCS Wifi module ? Because today it not is connected in my Internet router (it's necessary)!
When I buy in Ebay I will received the software by email?

Thanks !

Yes.  eTrain Command Console running on a Windows computer that is connected to the same LAN as your phone, will send commands from your phone to your computer and then to the LCS Wi-Fi module.  All three devices must be on the same network.

If you purchase the software on ebay, you will receive it by email.  If your ISP does not let it go through (which is common), I will then invite you to a Dropbox folder where you can download it.

Thank you.

- If all right I will buy etrain console software !

I will get back to you on this later today.
