I just picked up a Shark Aquarium Car. It works fine by itself when configured as a Passenger Car/TMCC/RS in Legacy. However, I cannot get it to program as part of a train. I tried almost every combo but I don't think the legacy system is programming the car. I add it to the train and it seems to register, I control it independently through trainlink, but it does not turn on with the train and I'm not hearing the brake sounds that are suppose to kick-in when I break the train.

Has anyone else had this issue?

if I remember correctly you have to select a locomotive setup as a train link then add the sound car to it and then when you address that engine it should work been to long ago since I did it with the newer Ethanol sounds car.

I since undid the train link setup yet the sounds startup once they start to move.
am sure more help will arrive shortly. $oo
I have the Vision Stock car on the same train and that works fine (except it starts making this annoying continuos screeching sound after running for a few minutes - I think it's normal. I can get rid of it by cycling the brake slider). The problem with the shark car is its not synced up.

Hope someone at least knows why it doesn't work.

Yep that's normal. You can turn it off. There is an icon on the remote. Check yer manual. I have the TMCC Whale Car if I get a chance I'll see what happens with it.

By squealing brakes do you mean when you use the red knob and crank it down to zero? Because I believe that will only affect Legacy products. The Shark car should do it when using brake boost but as I said I'll check that out.

I've read the manual but can't turn off this sound with an Icon. Its a continuous wheel hum. It starts after a few minutes of running. Only occurs when the car is configured into a train. I have it set as FRT / legacy. I can reset only by cycling the train brake slider.
