The modular club I am part of uses a pair of Legacy Powermasters.  One of them is not working properly.  When you turn power on, power to the track immediately goes to around 18 volts, regardless of the position of the command/conventional switch. In addition, after trying to turn it off with AUX 1, 0 the power stays on.  Even if I use the emergency stop button (red triangle) the power stays on.  Has anyone else has a problem like this, and were you able to resolve it?

Thanks for your assistance.

is this the new powermaster 360?

Sorry to use this old thread, but it is right on point for my problem.  Neither of my two 180W Legacy Powermasters will shut off track power using either the Reset Icon or the Aux1,0 sequence.   One PM does nothing;  the other reduces power to around 7.5 volts.  I have tried to reprogram the powermasters using various TR and ENG #s, but the problem persists.  I  have also tried a substitute  Legacy base without results, so I believe he problem is in the powermasters.  Lionel Customer Service told me that they do not repair these items.

First question:  does shutting down the powermasters (eg. Aux,1,0) reduce power to zero, or does it reduce it to a lower level from 18 volts?

Second:  if my powermasters are actually broken, does anyone repair them?  They appear to be sealed units.

Thanks.
