Legacy Remote Draws 60mA when off 180mA when on

I am following up on that!

Hard to measure when it's off, but it's less than a microamp.  When I turn it on, I'm drawing around 10ma to 20ma with activity, it jumps around a bit.

 

60ma when off is clearly broken!

John, You you are drawing less when on than when mine is off!  Ouch!

 

I reached out to Lionel to see if it can be serviced.

 

 

I've sent three different sets back to Lionel, they've repaired them all with no fuss and free of charge.  One was about four years old.

 

Lionel sent me a reply right away!

Unit is in transit to them for repair.

Just got an email this morning that my legacy has been shipped back to me.

 

That is super fast turnaround time and far exceeded my most optimistic expectation!

That's pretty speedy service Bill, I think they're really pushing the Legacy repairs through.  Hopefully, it'll draw less current when you get it back.

 

Gotta say I enjoyed using the cab 1L last weekend.   Good show remote

When I'm running TMCC, I tend to grab the CAB1L as well, I don't gain any functionality with the CAB2, and it is easier to hold, not to mention more robust in case it hits the floor.

 

We just have to find out how the two mainline power feeds got crossed again!
