Bryce,

Those look more like the Daleks from the old Peter Cushing Doctor Who movies from 1965 and 1966.  If you haven't seen them, you haven't missed much.

Nice find!

Thank you Jonathan! These Daleks are from an English Company called "Character Building." They made several other Dr. Who Villains: Cybermen, Weeping Angels, The Silence, Sontarans & the Vashta Nerada to name a few... I like to think the Matt Smith daleks are a tribute to the "classic," colorful daleks as seen in the Peter Cushing movies (Yes, I have seen the movies and I actually like them )

A clip explaining the genesis of these "new" daleks: https://youtu.be/ntKtkOE3DLI

Well, it looks like that the Daleks got reinforcements (I received a large shipment of 40+ Daleks, Cybermen, & Zontarans)! Looks like the good Doctor is now in real trouble. These monsters from Outerspace ignore a pullman train passing since the real threat is in the little blue box!

The pushbutton accessory plays this sound file (the sound of the Tardis flying)

The passengers on the train can be thankful that the sworn enemy of the Daleks was there to protect them from e x t e r m i n a t i o n!!!!

Okay - I'm a grown man, and the weeping angels still freak me out more than any of the villians!

They are kinda close but as they are toys, they are slightly big and chunky compared to 1/48 figures. I plan on getting more prototypical Cybermen 3D printed in the near future

Don't Blink! You just gave me a fantstic idea: a Weeping Angel in my cemetery, only those who are Dr. Who fans!

Here's one that Mitch might like...an unscheduled off load of the giraffe car led to this scene at the station.

Best Wishes

Are they headed to the zoo?

After an escape from the neighboring zoo, a guest tuba player joins the church chamber orchestra.

Where did you find this figure Randy? I love it

Bryce

@baltimoretrainworks I must ask: where did you get the Lost in Space B9 Robot & the zombies?

Bryce

I got the Walking Dead figures from Walmart several years ago, they are McFarlane "blind" bag figures meaning you don't know what you get so I did go to Ebay and bought some that were already opened so you knew what they were. They still show up a lot on the Bay as do the prison building sets. The B9 is a Johnny Lightning figure I picked up at a Greenbergs train show in Timonium.

At Alan's request, I post here 2 more photos of my rat infested NYC subway station near my Popsicle Stick Yankee Stadium.

This scene,  showing rats carrying slices of pizza down the subway entrance, was inspired by a Facebook post that went viral showing a real rat carrying a slice a pizza down the stairs into a NYC subway:

By the way, this entertaining forum topic was not started by me, but rather by my good friend, Bryce Manz. Arnold

PS: the O scale rats were a gift from my good Forum friend, Malcolm.

Great posts with fun features on the layouts. Here's some of mine from the GFRR: Grandpa's Funtastic RailRoad. Check out the creature under the dock.

Alligator

How about the uninvited guest into the camper van?

Racoon

Or the King Kong-like creatures on the bascule bridge?

Bridge creatures

Then there's the skateboarder who could not resist a ride in the station!

fSkateboarder

All part of the "funtastic" railroad! Enjoy!
