@Traindiesel Also, wondering if you insured the package.   I don't know how current this is, but it looks like UPS offers $100 of insurance for all packages.  Regardless, this is a really bad outcome for you, because your overall costs of going to York to find the items are probably way higher than what you paid for the items.  For the two times I went to York, I thought the experience was "priceless" but having the shipping issue muck things up throws that priceless experience out the window.

Really sorry to hear this.  You are calmer than I would be.  I would continue to make it known what happened and advise people not to ship anything from there.  I might also tell EDTCA what happened - not their fault but they are offering space to a vendor who royally screwed all of its customers.  There should be a serious reputational price for UPS to pay for on this.  Hopefully that pressure from EDTCA will make UPS make you and others whole without needless jerking around.

Good luck getting your money back.  Again so sorry to hear of this.

What the h--- does "disposed" of mean ??? - you gotta be kidding me

So sorry to hear about this Brian - just how many people have had this response ?

And where are the trains ??? - some guy standing in front of a dumpster opening boxes and throwing stuff inside ???

Sounds crazy

This is beyond crazy !  What carrier operates like this & stays on business ?

An interesting tender I bought at one of the bandit meets.  A 1666W tender modified with prewar 6 wheel trucks (2226W tender?) and a custom frame.  The person who did it did a good job; the frame is a 1 x 3 cut to width with metal fittings to screw into the shell.  The proportions are chunkier and bulkier than the 2046W tender usually found with the 2056 steamer.  (The tender is the one that had open backup light openings that I added red LEDs to).

A good example of folk art trains.

My only purchase but probably the biggest in the last 8 years or so.  The Lionel "Spirit of the Century" set.  It's been on my want list for a while but never saw it at the right time or right price.  Just Trains had it and, well, now they don't.  LOL!

Thank you, Ray.  I've sent a list of what was in my box and I'll see if they rectify this.  If not then The Eastern Division will be notified along with other steps I may have to take.

These were on my "want" list for a long time.  They either showed up at the wrong time or the wrong price.  At York they came in great in both categories.  It is a sharp looking set.  As much as I will run them, they will also look great on a shelf when not on the layout.
