THIS is the sort of stuff I'm hoping MTH will consider in the future of their post-LTC tinplate production. ...especially since Toonerville has nothing to do with Lionel licensing. 

It's "tinplate" at its core and finest......IMHO.

I agree with you completely!  The yellow jalopy in the photo is actually one of the first tinplate products that MTH produced.

I'm no lawyer, but with the passing of Dick Mayer, it maybe possible that MTH could get the rights to produce all the Toonerville tinplate that Dick once made.  Anyone with more knowledge about this topic, i.e., patent law, please comment!

I personally would love to see MTH manufacture a set of "Standard Gauge" mini turntables similar to the ones Dick produced in O gauge.
