Permitted in the Dealer Halls, not Member Halls.

This is 9:30 at Thursday's at Friday's.  this was everybody left. I remember sitting at the bar until the place closed.  I guess everybody is getting too old for this stuff

OK... So I'm confused with this pic:

IS this gent:

• Looking forward to skinnydipping in the racetrack's pond?
• Trying to attract chicks?
• HE made it through the Eastern Divisions tough new Security protocols in keeping the general public out of the member trading halls?

Inquiring minds would like to know?

What is that rectangular thing on the plate, a Sausage Pop-Tart?

Palallin, it's scrapple, which is made from pork scraps/trimmings plus corn meal, wheat flour, maybe buckwheat flour, and spices.  It's formed into a loaf and allowed to congeal, then sliced and pan fried.  It's pretty easy to find at restaurants in Penn. Dutch country.  I think you either like it or you don't.  I tried it many years ago and didn't care for it enough to order it again.

That's what I had for breakfast this morning - 2 slices of fried scrapple, 2 double yoke scrambled eggs, hash browns, 2 pieces of buttered toast and coffee.  I'm 73 and been eating this for breakfast since I was a kid.  My doctor said whatever I'm eating keep it up because I have the cholesterol of a teenager.  Once in a while I'll switch off to some good Amish country sage sausage but never bacon.  That stuff will clog your arteries.

Okay, to set the record straight this was dessert.  It was not a drink.  Otherwise it would've had an umbrella in it.

I'm just glad I survived the barrage of spit balls flying back and forth between a certain NY contingent.  There was only one casualty from spilt beer - poor Farmer Bill was this show's victim but it wasn't at the hand of the usual beer spilling perp, Walt Rapp. Instead he fell victim to Chuck (Alentown) as he hit the ground dodging a volley of said spit balls.

The place was empty by the time myself and Locolawyer left at 10:30 or so.

I'll admit it was hard to get up in the morning but I did manage to beat Mr Muffin to his booth to stake my claim to that Y3 that had my name on it.

Can't wait until October!!

I'll bring the thread back to York (Train) Photos! I thought the layout in the Purple Hall by Port Lines Hobby Supply was great. Lots of very neat trains running. Lots of action, too with multiple Thomas-type trains.  Here's a variety of views. I did note that the Amtrak F40 that was running on Thursday was later replaced by a Pennsylvania GG1. Wondered if the F40 developed "mechanical issues?"  LOL.

I, also, thought their layout was great. Small, simple, but packed with stuff to watch. I tend to prefer this over layouts that are long on tracks, but short on scenics.
