LGB Or Tinplate - Do You Have A Favorite?

Right around 1981, my late mother bought me a LGB starter set. It has a Stainz 0-4-0 loco in blue with two passenger cars also in blue. The plastic gates on the passenger car platforms open and the roofs of the cars come off to reveal actual interiors. For a poor single mother in the South Bronx that was like giving me a brand new Ferrari. Fast forward a few decades to the summer of 2007 and she gave me an MTH “Blue Comet” with a tin plate 384e and 300 series passenger cars. She passed away shortly afterwards. I cherish both of those today. Which is the best toy train out there you ask? The one that you are playing with of course.
